4. Create filters for Payers that are not currently on the AR Aging
- You are able to create a filter for a payer, even if it's not currently on the AR Aging because it has a $0.00 for example.
- To do this, filter for Payers which "contain text" (as opposed to selecting from a picklist). This will allow you to select payers that in the future may be on the Aging, even if their balances are currently $0.00. (Whereas, the picklist only shows Payers currently on the aging).
- Open the AR Aging
- Click Filter > Custom Filter
- Select Payer Name, then "contains"
- Enter the text contained in the payer name you want to filter for.
- For example, enter "coins" if want to show any payer that contains the phrase "coins", like "Medcare coinsurance A" or "Pending coinsurance B".
- The "contains" filter is case-sensitive. So if you enter "Medicaid" (for example), it will only show results that contain the text "Medicaid" (with a capital M), and not show results containing "medicaid" (with a lower case m).
To show results that contains both "Medicaid" and "medicaid" add another filter with the "OR" button.
- Click Apply Filter
- Save your filter (how to is above)
- When there are Payers on the AR Aging (with a balance) that match the text you entered, your filter will display them.
